So at the end of August, I flew to France with EasyJet. My mum wanted to treat my family to a meal on the flight so my hopes weren't high for something filling for me to eat as a vegan, but lo and behold, they have a few options for those of us who don't like to support animal agriculture but do love to eat!
I got lucky on both flights that they were serving main menu one, which has by far the best option in my opinion. Both flights I purchased the Falafel & Houmous Wrap. It was delicious and I loved the fact that the salad inside was within a beetroot wrap. It filled me up really well and along with my orange juice and paprika Pringles, I had a really good flight.
Unfortunately, if they are not serving main menu one on your flight, the only other vegan option is the Mezze Snack Box, which I don't think would be as filling. It comes with green olives, red pepper dip, houmous, rosemary crackers & baklava (sweet & nutty filo pastry dessert). I don't like olives so I'm glad that I had another option, but it wouldn't so bad if you're after something 'snacky' and light. I would love to see more vegan options on menus two and three from EasyJet, as the wrap was simply delicious.
To my disappointment, there were no vegan 'sweet snack' options on the snack section of the menu, so I had to choose from the savoury snacks menu, which has plenty of vegan options.
Overall, my falafel and hummus wrap was fantastic and I would certainly have this again! Coincidentally this was also the first time that I've ever tried falafel and now I love it - so here's to me trying more falafel-y things in the future.
Until next time, thank you for reading.
